A new natural gas field was discovered in the Black Sea, which has a volume of about 135 billion cubic meters. The production will take place in 3 stages – first, systems will be installed on the seabed that will pump gas out of the ground, then installations will be built on the shore, which will prepare the sea gas for use, and in the third stage, a pipeline will be built through which the gas will be go from facilities at sea to a station on land.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced the discovery of the gas field. The well in which the deposits of natural resources were discovered is located near the Black Sea province of Zonguldak. The President said the rigs continue to operate, so good news is expected again in the future.
At the moment, the total volume of natural gas reserves discovered in Turkey in the Black Sea has reached 540 billion cubic meters.
Investments in renewable energy are continuing to generate up to 4,000 megawatts of electricity daily. Half of the renewable energy sources are wind farms and half are solar.
