The Development of the Filyos Project, a Cargo Port in the Black Sea, Continues

The port of Filyos is a project included in the list of goals of the Turkish economy for 2023. This facility will have to bring the country into the top 10 largest economies in the world. The cargo port is located in the province of Zonguldak. Its throughput is 25 million tons annually.

The export indicator by the end of this year, according to experts, will reach $ 200 billion.

The project of the port of Filyos includes the opening of a free zone, the creation of 8 to 10 thousand jobs directly and from 20 to 25 thousand jobs indirectly. The launch of the project will entail the creation of a commercial infrastructure that will bring in income up to $ 50 million.

New transport corridors under the project will relieve the straits of Istanbul and Canakkale. Filyos will be the transport hub for the combined logistics chain between Russia, the Balkans and the Middle East. The Scandinavian countries also participate in the routes crossing the port.
