The Turkish Government Has Decided to Distribute Potatoes and Onions to Those in Need.

As part of the charitable initiative, the Turkish government will purchase tons of potatoes and onions from agricultural warehouses, which have accumulated due to a bountiful harvest and have not yet been sold.

This decision was made to make way for a new harvest and help poor citizens.

Agriculture is one of the main sectors of the Turkish economy, and agricultural products grown in the country are exported to many countries. During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims perform noble deeds, help those in need, and also fast during daylight hours. Charitable actions during sacred fasting take place at all levels of social life. The actions are organized by private organizations, large companies and the government. Many supermarkets offer big discounts on goods and various promotions.
